MASTER OF ARTS IN MINISTRY

The Master of Arts in Ministry is a two-year integrated program of rigorous biblical studies and intense ministry development for persons who desire to equip themselves for leadership in congregations, non-profit agencies, or other organizations. Within the program, students may choose to focus on a specific area of specialization such as education or leadership. 
 
 

MASTER OF DIVINITY

The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program is designed to empower and equip pastors and leaders to serve as transformational Christian leaders within today’s multicultural and pluralistic contexts. In addition to the traditional ministerial skills of biblical and theological competence, effective communication, spiritual sensitivity and maturity, passion for evangelism and pastoral care, UUC’s Master of Divinity program emphasizes features that are seldom found in traditional Master of Divinity programs such as the global interconnection of the contemporary world, the importance of understanding urbanization, principles of effective leadership, organizational savvy, and the needs for social transformation. Graduates of the program will be competently equipped to serve effectively and at a professional level as ordained pastors and leaders within the contexts of churches or other Christian organizations and/or ministries.
 
 

DOCTOR OF MINISTRY

The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program is uniquely designed for ministerial leaders anywhere in the world who meet the qualifications for admission, have access to the Internet, and are proficient in online work.
 
Each applicant to the program will submit a brief essay outlining the focus he or she would like to pursue in the doctoral program. On the basis of this essay and full qualification for the program, the accepted applicant will be matched with an academic advisor.
